Bio

Whit earned a BA in special education from Columbus State University, a Masters in Instructional Technology from NYIT, and a MLIS from Valdosta State University. With over 11 years of experience in libraries, Whit has worked across reference, genealogy, archives, systems, and eResources in both academic and public library settings. Whit prioritizes building a student-centered library collection and enhancing the student experience within CSU's discovery environments. Recognized as a 2023 Emerging Leader by the American Library Association, they bring a broad, collaborative perspective to their work. They also serve as a board member for Southwest Georgia Housing Opportunities. Outside of work, they enjoy taking care of their houseplants and playing video games.
