Bio

Joy Woodson is an assistant director at GALILEO in charge of marketing and communications. She has worked at GALILEO since 2019. Prior to that, she worked at Georgia State University's Center for State and Local Finance, where she was in charge of marketing and communications. She's a former reporter and editor, having worked in newspapers and online media. She received her bachelor's of journalism degree from the University of Missouri and master's degrees in public administration (nonprofit management concentration) and business administration (marketing concentration) from Georgia State University. In her spare time, Joy volunteers with Gwinnett County Juvenile Court and the American Cancer Society.
