You Belong @ Your Community in the Digital Library of Georgia

To celebrate our theme of You Belong @ Your Community in GALILEO during National Library Week, we are looking at how to learn more about your city or county in Georgia history resources, including the New Georgia Encyclopedia, the Digital Library of Georgia, and GeorgiaInfo, and in genealogy resources, HeritageQuest Online and Ancestry Library Edition.

Yesterday, we started with the New Georgia Encyclopedia.

Today, let’s take a look at the Digital Library of Georgia, a gateway to Georgia’s history and culture found in images, newspapers, maps, audio, video, and more.

You can start by searching for your county or city. Most items include the county information in the description or subject, and many items also include the city.

Or, you can try the Browse by County to see collections in the Digital Library of Georgia that include items from your county.
