The Georgia Knowledge Repository, an initiative of GALILEO, is a digital archive that includes the academic and intellectual works of Georgia’s colleges and universities. New Georgia Encyclopedia
Originally launched in 2004, the NGE is the first state encyclopedia to be conceived and designed exclusively for publication online. This authoritative resource contains original content and helps users understand the rich history and diverse culture of Georgia’s still-unfolding story. The NGE is a program of Georgia Humanities in partnership with the University of Georgia Press, the GALILEO and the University System of Georgia, and the Office of the Governor.
