Free: Register Now for 2024 GALILEO Annual Conference

Registration is now open for the free GALILEO Annual Conference, which takes place virtually June 11-12, 2024. This year’s theme is “GALILEO Unbound: New Perspectives on Literacy.”

The keynote speaker will be Renee Hobbs, one of the world’s leading authorities on digital and media literacy education. She will present “Why Digital and Media Literacy Matters Now.”

Additional speakers include Deborah Kennedy, director of the National Coalition for Literacy; Pamela Cote, senior director at the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy; Julie Walker, Georgia State Librarian and member of the governor’s Georgia Council on Literacy; and more.

The free conference brings together the Georgia library community to share best practices and ideas in the use of GALILEO. This year, GALILEO also will be honoring one advocate with the GALILEO Ambassador Award during the event.
