GALILEO FY 2012 Additions and Changes

We are happy to announce that GALILEO will be able to maintain most current GALILEO core database offerings for FY2012 in spite of significant budget cuts, if the budget stands as allocated. This is possible because many GALILEO vendors have provided pricing concessions for a third year in a row.

Unfortunately, some consortia have had to cancel database subscriptions because of budget shortfalls. Below is a list of cancellations for FY2012 by consortia:

*some USG institutions have purchased Britannica resources via GALILEO cost-share.

We are working with vendors to make all changes in a timely manner. Because of licensing procedures, some database changes will not occur until after July 1, 2012. Please see the FY2012 Cancellations Listing by Database for a complete listing of database cancellations along with their associated GALILEO Express Links. Further updates will be posted to GALILEO News. So, please check back.
