Congratulations to Donnie Summerlin and Mandy Mastrovita!

Congratulations to Digital Library of Georgia (DLG) staff members Donnie Summerlin and Mandy Mastrovita, who were recently honored with ASSET Awards from the University of Georgia Libraries.

Donnie Summerlin was granted the Extra Mile/”Above and Beyond” Award for his contributions to the digitization of Georgia historical newspapers, the promotion of DLG efforts through print and radio media outlets, and the development of the social media presence for the DLG and for his efforts to improve the quality of the work environment for the DLG staff.

Mandy Mastrovita received the Newcomer of the Year - Faculty Award for quickly establishing herself as an able Metadata Librarian who diligently works to provide context for and to identify individuals, events, and groups in the newsfilm clips in the Civil Rights Digital Library.
