Changes Coming to Public Libraries’ Access to GALILEO

Starting July 2, most Georgia public libraries will no longer use a password to access GALILEO. This includes all PINES libraries (shown below) across the state.

The PINES libraries and two non-PINES libraries (Chattahoochee Valley Libraries and Sequoyah Regional Library System) are affected by the latest changes.

– For a complete list of libraries that no longer use passwords to access GALILEO, please view this FAQ. –

Moving forward, these patrons will need to use their library ID/PIN to log in. If they attempt to use a password where the ID (card number) and PIN is needed, they will be a shown a banner alert explaining the change.

If patrons have questions about access, including guest accounts, please contact your local library.
