The award-winning books were exhibited at the recent Joint Conference of the Mississippi Library Association (MLA) and the Southeastern Library Association (SELA) in Meridian, MS, October 11-14, 2022.
Latinx Media was created as an open textbook with the help of a nearly $10,000 grant from Affordable Learning Georgia in round 19 of its grant awards. Rielle Navitski, of the University of Georgia, and Leslie Marsh, or Georgia State University, collaborated to create the resource.
The Southern Books Competition is a contest of the Southeastern Library Association (SELA), which began the awards in 1952.
