Top Books and Media for 2010

Last week, we mentioned that you can use NoveList to find great recommendations for reading, but GALILEO also includes a plethora of book and entertainment. So, if you’re still looking for ideas on how to ward off that bored feeling during the holidays (or any time of year!), MasterFILE Premier and Academic Search Complete include some great lists of the best of 2010.

The New York Times Book Review offers a list of the 10 Best Books of 2010 along with 100 notable books for the year. Both Library Journal and Publisher’s Weekly offer their lists of the best books for 2010. TIME Magazine offers lists of the best movies, music, television, theater, and tech (including video games!) for 2010.

If you are looking for something specifically for the kids or teens, check out School Library Journal’s Best Books of 2010 as well as The New York Times’ Best Illustrated Children’s Books of 2010 and Notable Children’s Books of 2010. Time for Kids even offers movie suggestions for 2010.
