Best Books and Media for 2011

We recently mentioned how to find book and entertainment reviews in GALILEO, but GALILEO also includes some great lists to help you find the best books and media of 2011.

Library Journal offers a Best Books 2011 list. Atlantic Monthly provides their literary editor’s picks from the best books of the year, and TIME Magazine has a top 10 list for fiction and nonfiction. Newsweek highlights the books that will blow your mind, and New York Times Book Review provides a list of 100 Notable Books and 10 Best Books for the year. Print also notes the best book art of the year.

For children and teens, School Library Journal lists the best books by grade levels. Horn Book Magazine presents a parade of picture books, and New York Times Book Review notes the notable children’s books of the year.

If you’re looking for other media, TIME Magazine offers the best of television, movies, games, and pop music as well a Best of Tech list that includes ebook readers and other media devices.
