A Trivial Pursuit: Interweaving Games and Newspapers to Promote Grant Work

For this session, the presenters will introduce newspaper digitization in the state of Georgia and explain the National Digital Newspaper Program grant. They’ll explore why they added trivia as a unique outreach component to the proposal and dive into how they used the student perspective to create a trivia game. To wrap up, the presenters will explain their trivia design process, and session attendees will be invited to play a small sample of the historic newspaper trivia that was created from digitized newspapers for the UGA student body.
