Vendor Performance Assessment
The GALILEO Vendor Performance Assessment Committee met from February 2001 to January 2002. Charged with reviewing and developing processes and procedures for standardization of assessment of vendors and their electronic resource products, the group developed two tools for use by GALILEO and its participating libraries - a vendor questionnaire, to assist in gathering information from vendors for products review, and a vendor report card, to assist in reviewing vendor performance as part of the license renewal process. These tools are provided here for the use of any library.
In addition, the committee reviewed the provision of statistical information and developed standards which they were able to contribute to the new standard issued by the International Consortia of Library Consortia and endorsed by the GALILEO Steering Committee. These standards, referenced in both the vendor questionnaire and vendor report card, are linked below.
